Gaskets? We don' need no steenken' gaskets....
Yamabond is the stuff; $10 from the dealer. Only 'tricks' to use is to make sure the surfaces are clean and dry and don't use too much; it's runnier that 'regular' RTV. It's designed to 'flow' onto surfaces, so it won't leave a 'string' of squeezed-out sealer around all the sealed surfaces inside the motor. If you're worried about how well it works, that's what they used on the engine case halves at the factory and you never hear about those leaking....Last edited by crazy steve; 01-09-2012, 10:06 AM.Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Yamabond works great on tight-fitting machined surfaces; if there's issues with misalignment or damage (big gouges, cracks), then use regular RTV.Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two
