That bike will do pretty much anything you ask it to if you're not afraid and trust it. I've put more 10K on mine this summer so far and been to more than a dozen states. That's what riding is all about.
Do some long rides and attend some XSive rallies next spring on it. Riding season is about over up there near the Arctic Circle but they'll be chomping at the bit by April for a rally. XS Southeast and XS East are well within your range.
90 here today. Might just take off exploring.Greg

I am interested in your bike, mostly because I cannot stand the thought of a venture being deconstructed. The problem is I now live in Houston area, so Chicago is a bit of a stretch on short notice. Would you have any interest in waiting for the spring and doing a trade? I have a bike that is titled as a 79 standard but has a 78 motor. Has all the parts but cosmetically rough, it would be a great candidate for a modify project as it has already drifted off from being stock. I know it is a long shot, but thought I would at least ask.I have a bike and I am not afraid to use it
