    1981 Venturer

I have decided to not turn the Venturer into a bobber for the sake of it being a Venturer. This bike is in great shape. It runs great and needs nothing! Here is the for sale ad. Please call or txt me for more information or pictures. Thanks!

Cool man! Hopefully somebody on here buys it, otherwise all the gripes were fruitless, and justifies making the bike "your's". I'm excited to see the result.

Now that is a smart move...once you found out what it was and the value it still commands it would be silly to chop it up...and i do believe your bike is worth what you are asking...with that much $ it would be a no brainer to sell it and fund any other bike project you might pick up...I applaud your decision and Thankyou for helping to preserve these increasingly rare models of the XS1100..one caveat...this isnt exactly the prime time of year to be selling so dont be discouraged if it doesnt sell right away...if not now then in the Spring...for sure someone will want this...
your link was working and now it isnt...

The link should still be working, I just checked it. But thanks, I figured it would at least make someone happy here to see the Venturer brought back to life and kept together.

Folks on here are VERY quick to bash someone over their plan for their own bike but usually too cheap to spend 2k to save one.

My prediction, no one here will buy it and you'll end up doing what you wanted with it anyhow. Best of luck to you which ever way it goes.

Took the words right out of my mouth, but I decided to not post that. Maybe he'll find another XS cheap, and enjoy the Venturer as a complete touring bike.

I've sent pictures and a vid of it starting and running to mike. And I would never ride this bike with that big front fairing on it ha.

I used to think the same thing until I started riding more and longer distances. I couldn't ride without it now.

Having the fairing to protect me from the wind, bugs, debris, rain, snow, heat, cold...................................trumps being "cool".

Totally agree Greg When the weather turns against you "cool" becomes COLD and that is no fun. 12 hours of pouring rain on my way home from XSSE would not have been possible without fairing and shield.

                          Hi Chicagoxs,
Yes you did and for that I ( and many others) applaud you.
I agree with MadMaxim not the best time of year to get the value out of a motorcycle especially here in the colder north. Hope you make a sale.
Keep following the site for some opportunities to pick up project bikes at cheap prices if a shaft drive monster is what appeals to you.

Good input , and don't forget us being able to trump any riding style or switchback corners he may have in mind.
