    It is Alive !!!

I filled the cylinders with a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone..
Repaired the transmission shifting linkages and was able to shift the bike into neutral .
Put a wrench on the timing nut and it moved. I slowly pumped the atf mix out of the cylinders by rotating the engine.

Reinstalled the starter and it spins freely now.

I am betting that if I reinstall the carbs it can get it to light off.

1978 XS 1100 E , The engine spins freely, has compression and spark.

      It pops and farts.

Shifts fine on my work stand bumping the rear tire over.

All the lights work, headlight and signal lights.

It is all there ( except for a tail light lens that is missing ) and it is just too good to part out at this stage of its life.

      Comprehensive Bill of Sale only.
