So the H is close to a SH, cept for tank, seat, rear wheel, bars, all the addons. I'll need to sell some but really would like a Venturer some day.

          Hi Marty,
The Venturer like their owners are
Standards that are special in a Short bus kind of way
Uniquely different yet loved all the same

I'm sure the SG seat will work on the H, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it "plug-n-play".

Simply having to remove the seat to get the sidecovers off would negate the SG seat being a "plug-n-play" mod on the H.

And even though you may not have to trim the seat pan in the front, I probably would ... just to make it look and fit better.

And then there's still the problem of that gaping hole in the back of the SG seat where the taillight fits ... that would be a deal-breaker for me ... it just wouldn't look right.

Actually, the '79SF seat would probably be a better fit on the H. The SF seat doesn't extend back quite as far as the H seat ...

But the lower edge of the SF seat doesn't extend down as far as the SG seat, which would hopefully eliminate the sidecover problem. And the SF seat doesn't have the gaping hole in the back.

Pretty sure you would have to swap the inner fender, though ... in order to slightly relocate the TCI.

Also, someone CMIIW, but based on what I've learned, you can fit a '79 Special seat onto an '80 Standard (with the inner fender swap), because the '80-'81 Standard pans are the same.

                Marco,

You put one of those tool bags at the back of the seat and it looks like it was made that way.

That is a good idea, Marty ...

The tool bag would have to fit perfectly in that space, though (at least for me, anyway) ...
