    1979 XS1100 Cafe Special

    I am forced to sell as I live in Texas now and I am deploying in a few months, so I don't have the time to fix it and ride it to Texas. I will be back in CA on leave for a week from 9 Aug to 15 Aug if you want to take a look at the bike or take it for a test ride.

    It has been in storage at a friend's house since November, but it ran almost perfectly when parked, there is a just a slight bit of tuning needed to run perfect.

    I am asking $2,000 for the bike and all the parts that I have which includes a 750 rear case, rear sets and linkages and various other upgrades (I can get a complete parts list in a week). I've easily put $5,000+ in the bike and parts. Highlights are: K&N Filters, 4-2 Exhaust EMGO mufflers, DynaCoils, SS Brake Lines, Custom fiberglass seat, Custom wiring harness (with wiring diagram), 78 Advance Mech, Clip On Handles, Standard Tank with tank liner.

    As far as the bike goes it is registered non-op so there will be no back registration. Mechanically it is complete and rideable, it is only missing the brake and turn signals (which I have they just need to be hooked up and mounted). It will need new tires before any extended riding.

        Hey spayne, how's it going dude. This bike is stone-cold! Good work on the build. My head is spinning at the moment because I saw this on the 'for sale' thread a while back and figured this thing would be snatched up in a few days time or so. I'm scratching my head, too. It sucks that you have to part with it. Honestly the only reason I haven't made an offer is because I just started my fund for my very 1st bike in the middle of this past July, so I haven't saved very much yet. That's the only reason my offer is not on the table for this badass machine; I would not want to offend you by offering what I have saved so far.

        But if you're game, and if somebody else doesn't swoop in on this thing in the mean time, I could really knuckle down, say, in the next 3 weeks or so, and hit you up and hit you up with what I have then? I know this sounds pretty far-fetched, and that's because it is! But, put simply, this bike was too cool to let slip through my fingers without at least throwing my proposition out there. Haha! You've got a beastly bike for sure! I am reading that the bike is in CA? That's cool because I am actually moving to the Phoenix, AZ area for school in just over a week, so if you're hip to the idea, the drive/link-up wouldn't be too much of a chore for me. Maybe. But, that mainly depends on if your bike happens to be in NorCal or SoCal..

        But on a more serious note, if my idea seems too off-the-wall for you bro, I completely understand. After all you did build the thing and you deserve just compensation accordingly. And, I can emphatically respect that! Take Care!

                        yes thats true but it isnt that far gone...could be brought back somewhat...although it appears the rear frame rails were cut...but at 500 bucks thats cheap enough even for this cheap bastard...
