Right in my price range, but WAY to far away. Probably a lot more work than meets the eye to get it running and ready for miles of smiles. But it does look complete, save the busted stuff he mentioned.

Its usually the hidden stuff like frame rust, cracked rotors, torn up filters, missing oil filter spring or washer, did I mention rusty stuff?.
I have yet to need a part I can not find at all. It is how much the part cost you that hits hard at times. And the clean up that leads to re finishing what initially looked decent parts that takes alot of time and effort.

Hey Don- Just curious, any part you've had to buy that made u cringe? I guess I'm feeling pretty good sitting on an extra bike's worth of parts, plus parts from my 750's/850. Just no spare engine.

rust? The bike is in Arizona... more like dust...other defects possibly...
Just curious, what does that washer and spring actually do?

As far as I have been lead to believe the spring and washer push the filter
towards the cases in order for the oil to be filtered as it enters/exits versus the filter just kind of flopping around in there.
As for rust on bikes from that part of the country,I just picked up two in New mexico and can say there is very little rust as some one here mentioned
Yes there is dust ,very fine dust as a matter of fact, found quite a bit in electrical connectors, also noticed that where there was a little oil or grease
the dust was almost a preservative, wiped right off nice and clean below
I'm sure there are exceptions but that has been my experience.
