Based upon the buy it now price, I expect it will not make reserve.

        Right...

Yeah, the buy-it-now $ is way up there ... will be interesting to see if this one sells.

Quite the nice Special. One of the best kept ones that I have seen. When/if this bike sells for the "asking" price would certainly start the market trend for the 11s in the right direction.

Beautiful bike. I hope he gets what he is asking - you never know?

Agreed. The more these old Elevens fetch higher prices, the more it will drive up the value of all our bikes. Of course, this particular bike is a very well-preserved example.

I certainly hope he gets his price but I suspect he'll have to come off that.

                For sale

It looks really nice, certainly much nicer than my Yami.
I would like to know what has happened to the left hand side of the seat.
It is buckled and bent and has a protrusion. Could be the seat has been used to lift the bike when using the center stand.
However it is easy to fix.

This auction went out of wack? Jumped from the 2k range to almost 5K? Bad Bid? Strange

bad timing...who knows what level of experience or lack thereof...anyways it would appear the bidding has met the reserve...this is gonna sell..if i recall on ebay the buy it now is only available until someone starts bidding then its dropped...

The guy who had it at $2,725 had a max bid of I suppose $4,898. So when the now winning bidder put his bid in, he had to go over $4,898 to pull it. May have put several steps in on the way to getting there, I think if it happens quick enough Ebay does not show those numbers in between.

I did not think Ebay dropped the buy it now until the auction ended, I would think the bidder had to do that, or the bids had to exceed the buy it now.

                        Reserve/Buy-it-now

In a normal Ebay auction-style listing with a reserve price and a Buy-It-Now option,
the Buy-It-Now price automatically disappears as soon as the reserve price has been met.

There are a few Ebay categories where the above doesn't apply,
but motorcycles aren't in any of those categories.

                          Reserve Has Been Met

With only 11 hours to go, the reserve has been met on this bike! Current bid is $4899.00. Good to see it fetch that amount and it could go higher..

I hope you're right about it going higher, Mike ... would love to see that happen!

No bidding activity since a little over 18 hrs. ago, but you never know when a last-minute bidder or two will come in and try to snatch it away!

From my past dealings with these auctions, a person will wait to the last few seconds to bid so as to not let the auction (prices) get too far out of hand. I agree that there will likely be a few more bids. Interestingly, the high bidder came in relatively early with a +$2000 bid?
