When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one XSer to dissolve the mechanical bands that have connected him with another, and to assume among the powers of Yamaha, the separate and equal station to which the laws of physics and of motorcycle's God entitle him, a decent respect to the opinions of fellow XSers requires that he should declare the causes which impel him to the separation...
I hold these truths to be self-evident that all Yamahas are created equal and are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are, life, liberty and the pursuit of the ride!
While I now have a newer Yamaha, this does not in any way diminish the awesomeness that is the XS11! It introduced me to a world of super bikes, that I had never experienced until I became familiar these machines, for the first time, back in the early '80s. I knew I had entered into a life to which I would never regret, motorcycling.
I have made the decision to let Scorpion go to another. It is a good friend, great machine, and one heck of a memory generator!
Pics and info to follow... I have to let this settle a bit first...
