Did the 1980 not have vacuum advance? reason I asked was I saw the #2 carb vacuum nipple capped off.1979 XS1100F

The 1980 does have the advance. The PO was probably making the mistake of trying to make it more speedy. Wasted money, and needs to be put back to original.1980 XS1100LG Midnight

Someone eliminated the Octy, and then moved the vac advance to the boot instead of the carb.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

Doesn't normally take very long for a MNS to get gone. This one sold for $1875 - which is surprising. I usually see them going for much more.
Oh well, good luck to the new owner.
