Agreed... Quite a mashup of parts though. It's mostly there, so it wouldn't take TOO much to get it back on the road. Then again, that's all relative.

Oh my, yes, good information. I am in Traverse City, Michigan. And I have no clue how to post an image up here. Give me time to work that out

Pictures and location would help greatly. May even be someone local that could help you get what you have on the road....

    1979 XS1100 project/parts

    Hey folks,
I am reletively new to these forums, the XS1100s, and even motorcycles in general. However, my wife commisioned a fella to build me a bike for my birthday. It turned out to more of a project than he could handle. I have taken delivery on the truckload of parts but I do not have the skill-set or finances to finish the project. I thought I might pop in here and see if anyone had an interest in helping me recoup some of the cash my wife put into the project.

I am willing to sell as a whole, part it out, or trade for a street ready starter bike to ride this summer... Whatever will put two wheels between me and the pavement.

Also, any advice on the subject is welcome as well.

I will keep an eye on this post, or you can contact me by e-mail with questions or picture requests, whatever you need, just ask

    Thanks again,
    Richard.
