If I wasn't so flat broke, I'd give it a very nice cushy home with lots of polish and wax. I'd probably even ride it once in a while to make all the Nightsters around see where they come from.

That is a beautiful bike. Truly so.

so do you want to trade, even up for a bike that is not to pretty to ride? If so send me a pm..

Ok, well it was worth a shot right, and I'm not holding my breath waiting for that pm........
Really though, that is a beautiful example of a midnight, wish I had the cash to buy it, I just hope it goes to someone that will take good care of it.

just a thought to make you scream

You just know some one will buy it and then decide it should be blacked out and bobbed/chopped.

No, this is not intended to be a slam on the folks who bob/chop or blackout their bikes, only on the ones who take a pristine machine and do such things to it.

you guys in the states are so lucky to
come across such low milage bikes, the bikes over here
most of them have been around the clock at least once.

Thats the finest example of an '81 MNS that I've ever seen...i do believe this is even more pristine than the bike Terje just bought on ebay. Most people who own these bikes never even come close to having one in the condition this is in...unrestored that is...unless they bought theirs brand new. My XJ was brand new when I got it...over 27 yrs ago and it dont look pristine now...
BTW you have not mentioned what you are selling it for. But whatever it is ..you should get it.

                      Beautifull LH

WOW ! Thats a beautifull bike. I agree with those who says it is more pristine then the one I bought on ebay I will guess it will sell for a lot of $ on ebay. But I will not bid this time And yes, DGSXER...I did snipe the midnight auction two weeks ago,I used esnipe because the auction I won ended 6PM ebay time. That is 3AM in Norway so esnipe allows me to sleep when I at the same time won the auction
I hope you understand that you have one of the nicest bikes ever made in your hands, and if I was you - I would keep it ! But if you put it on ebay I think it will sell for $5-6000......afterall this is a piece of fine art...not a oil leaking Harley Good luck anyway !

                        Yellow circles on engine covers

BTW, there is no doubt that the yellow circles on the two front engine covers should be there also on the 1980 midnight special ! I have checked all sales bruchures and the microfiche. So they are missing on the LG i bought two weeks ago. They are present on my other LG which is only 20 behind on the production line (4H3-000395 , 4H3-000415)
