Definitely looks more like a standard than a special, except the seat and the exhaust. The rear fender looks like a 79 so does the seat and trim /grab bar. The timing cover looks like an 81 though.

Now why would that be? I've seen others undressed so what leads you to believe it was never dressed?...I can find another example of a venturer that I know was undressed...let me find the photo...

So Brant would you say this one was never dressed either? Well the person selling this last yr. had converted it over and had all the touring pcs in his garage.

It's at least been without the tour package for a l-o-n-g time, and likely among the missing who knows.

Yeah thats my point...It HAD to come with the whole tourng pkg...or it isnt a Venturer. I have seen several examples of undressed Venturers' forsale...but the one in the pic above is the best one I've ever seen.

Yep, he knows now! I expect him to be a new member any day now. He was excited to learn that his problem is common and would only take 4-6 hours of labor to fix. He wasnt happy selling the bike in the first place and was thinking about taking the ad down because he was taking a loss at that price. Too many morons trying to get the thing for free! Some how I feel like I saved one more XS in the world.
