Definitely looks more like a standard than a special, except the seat and the exhaust. The rear fender looks like a 79 so does the seat and trim /grab bar. The timing cover looks like an 81 though.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

Yep, he knows now! I expect him to be a new member any day now. He was excited to learn that his problem is common and would only take 4-6 hours of labor to fix. He wasnt happy selling the bike in the first place and was thinking about taking the ad down because he was taking a loss at that price. Too many morons trying to get the thing for free! Some how I feel like I saved one more XS in the world.
