These genuine Yamaha fork dust seals are the latest supersession by Yamaha of the original dust seal. They are supplied as a pair and suit forks used on: XS1100 1978-1980

The fork dust seals from yambits are for a standard and not a special. they will not fit properly.

This site shows the proper part number. I have never used these and we would all like to know if they are the right ones. 79-81 YAMAHA XS1100 FRONT FORK SEAL DUST BOOTS SET 2PIECES | CRUZINIMAGE.NET79-81 YAMAHA XS1100 FRONT FORK SEAL DUST BOOTS SET 2PIECES | CRUZINIMAGE.NET

Thanks so far ... the regular XS110 fork dust covers are indeed different.
As are the seals! I think someone's put the wrong ones in as they almost fell out!
The oil got pumped out and lubricated the rotors/discs, soaked the pads etc.
I can get original fork seals at some cost (+/- £90 GBP) from

The right seals can be found on Ebay for much less then CMSNL sells them. Here is a set. Don't know what the shipping would be to you but it has to be comparable to CMSNL. YAMAHA OEM FRONT FORK OIL SEAL LOT (2) XS1100 1980-1981 3H3-23145-00-00 | eBay

Just in case you need the size of the Special fork seal, it is 37X48X10.5 mm.

The Standard size is different at 37X49X8 mm.

Thanks guys for info .... after chatting with Yambits, they have sourced and now stock these seals

These fork oil seals come supplied as a pair and suit 37mm forks used on: XS1100S 1981

I've ordered a pair, and will do an update in a few days .... Meanwhile the dust covers yet to be solved ..... the ones I've got are in good condition but worn and a bit loose on the tube. There's scope to glue a 37mm O-ring on the inside as a last resort ...

The fork seals from Yambits are perfect - double lip design for the air-assisted forks (37 X 48 X 10.5 mm) . Fitted with thinner lower spacer and thicker upper, spring clips seats perfectly.

WRT Dust seals Yam Part no. 10M2314400 .... I've had no luck with cruzinimage.net - I tried to order but kept getting told my email address was wrong!

I've found 1x NOS on ebay UK (£15 with shipping) awaiting arrival.

Also tried a Jap co called YUMBO but they say discontinued.

                    Thanks for your input guys

                      Cruizinimage is finicky.

On the log-in page, you have to scroll down and register as a new user. Part of the new user data is your e-mail and password. After you enter the new user data, there is button like "Go to the next" at the bottom. Click on this button and it goes back to the top of the same page where you enter your password like an established user. I got it to work last night by doing that. It took a couple of try's for it to accept it- don't know if I made a mistake the first time.
