Have you thought about putting a set of Dynas on it?I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

If you plan-on keeping the bike long-term, I second the above and recommend Dyna coils.1979 XS1100F

I do plan on keeping it for a while. I was just trying to find something inexpensive to replace it for the moment. I am looking into the dyna coils, specifically the dyna dc1-1 coil which seems to be what most people on here use. Honha made an identical set for other apps the look identical, There are no markings as to which is which, so ohm check them before forking out the $20-$40 for a set.
