    '78-'80 Standard Left Muffler

    Never hurts to ask, looking for the #1 header with muffler. If nobody has one, I may have to bite the bullet and buy the one off eBay for $175.

      Ended-up buying the '80 Standard left muffler off eBay for $150. I was desperate, and did not want to go another season of using muffler tape. I enjoy the stock sound. ItThe alternative was an expensive Supertrapp upgrade.

          Compared to a nice OEM set-up, anything else would be a downgrade performance wise.

              I agree 100%. I bet many whom were original owners of the bikes, who swapped the exhaust systems for "performance-only" reasons are kicking themselves. Night & day difference from the Mac 4-2 than came with the bike.
