Ended-up buying the '80 Standard left muffler off eBay for $150. I was desperate, and did not want to go another season of using muffler tape. I enjoy the stock sound. ItThe alternative was an expensive Supertrapp upgrade.1979 XS1100F

I agree 100%. I bet many whom were original owners of the bikes, who swapped the exhaust systems for "performance-only" reasons are kicking themselves. Night & day difference from the Mac 4-2 than came with the bike.1979 XS1100F
