  • WTB: Extended fork tubes

    Howdy, I am looking for a set of extended fork tubes for an XS11. Hoping around 8" over but will consider others. I haven't talked to Forks by Frank yet, I thought I would ask here first. Maybe one of you bought a bike with extended forks and switched back to stock, but didn't have the heart to toss the long ones?

    Please let me know if you have any or could point me in the right direction.

    Would 6" over be enough ?





    Do you need the side stand, cables & hoses too ?

        The reason I need a 21" wheel and extended forks:



        There, finally posted a pic of my bike haha. The front wheel is about 4.5" off the ground in this pic. A 90/90-21 will be about 1" taller than what I have, and I figured 8 over forks would give me another 4" in height with my rake.

          That is really F,,,,, Up, I love it.
          Maybe I want to keep this bike as is ? NOT !
          I want to return this one to stock and already have tubes to replace the extended ones. PM ME PLEASE, DON'E

            A straight line...............bike. No leaning that. It'll take 2 blocks just to turn around.

                  If ever I wanted to do this to an XS1100 the looks of this one are well.
                  If I took my LH that I smashed to a shop and said save what you can, it came out like this I'd be HAPPYEEEE ! Love the look, hope I can help !

                    Just a thought, but the standard forks locate the axle on the bottom of the slide. That would be 2 extra inches alone. Problem is, fork tubes area different diameter, so they will not interchange....
                    It IS a nice looking bike.

                      Not sure on two things Ray. Aren't the standard sliders shorter and the axle being in roughly (give or take a 1/4") in the same place? so you wouldn't get 2" longer?

                      And if the fork diameters were different how would we swap standard forks into Special trees and vice versa like we do? so they must be the same.

                        Another thought, I'd stick with the Special sliders to keep steering geometry as good as you can without raked trees. If using standard sliders with Special trees you will increase trail, which is already being pushed right out raking the forks.

                        If anything you could do with using Standard trees with Special sliders to close up the trail generated with raked forks.
