  • 79 Standard Parts

I just bought a new project and so far as I know, I need the following parts:
    Stock Seat pan and seat
    Side Covers
    Wire harness
    Rear plastic fender
    Rear rotor
    Rear brake line
    Handle bar controls and levers
    Front brake lines
    Mechanical advance and timing plate
Ignition switch w/key (or a replacement that works)
    Rear Footpegs

If anyone has a full set of bars with the controls and lines on them with or w/o the m/c on it I will take that to make it easier. Rather than piecing a front end together.

    Thats all for now. Thanks

I'll break this out a bit for more specifics...

        ...I need the following parts:
Stock Seat pan and seat - Has to be '78-79 standard only.
        Side Covers - ditto
Wire harness - ditto again; the harnesses are all more-or-less the same, but there's enough differences to make a swap complicated...
Rear plastic fender - any will work
Rear rotor - any will work, but the later ones are slotted. Any '78-79 will be exact replacement.
Rear brake line - any will work (except for LH/XJ) Upper retaining bracket is standard only.
Handle bar controls and levers - Any '78-79 for the switches, the rest any.
Front brake lines - lowers, any except LH/XJ, upper standard only (assuming stock bars).
Mechanical advance and timing plate - '78 or 79, but both parts MUST match to get correct timing.
Ignition switch w/key (or a replacement that works) - any '78-79.
Rear Footpegs - '78-79 if you want them to match the fronts, otherwise any.

maybe you want to just come over here to Watertown SD with a truck and load up all of my XS11 and XJ11 stuff. It'd fill a full sized truck bed for sure. If you have the room to store all the parts, I'd rather sell the whole works than fuss with al the individual parts.

500 for every engine, frame, wheel, fork, brake part, carb set, trigger set, brain box, gas tank, suspension, drive, electrical or any other XS11 or XJ11 part I have. I'd love to unload everything in one day. That would save me a LOT of hassle.

multiple brains of different models, at least three engines (only one is running though), calipers, wiring harnesses, 5 or so stator asemblies, starters, heads, cases, a truck load of stuff. I took a few photos tonight, but network54 won't let me link them anywere, so its not much help. Bottom line, is life is a risk. Bring a truck, come on over. Maybe its the deal of a lifetime, maybe its not. Who feels lucky? If I have to haul it all out to the driveway, take full inventory, photograph it all piece by piece, and list it all, then I might as well just list it all on ebay, piece by piece. If however, I can haul it all out ONCE, load it in someones truck and make it all go away so I can get on with other projects, then its worth selling it all as one big lot. Yep, I'm puting it up there as a gamble for someone. Who's willing to roll the dice and come over?
