  • 80SG needle jets aka main nozzles

I'm looking for some new/used Needle Jets(aka main nozzle/emulsion tubes)
When i pulled the ones off my projuect bike, they were GREEN with corrosion and I tried to clean them up as best I can, but with all those holes....
I was wondering if the ones listed over at MikesXS will work.
There are 2 listed there that look the same.
    Part# 48-0660 or #48-0662
At $13.50 each, It can't hurt to put new ones in right?

I might have answered my own question. The ones over at MikeSX don't have the little half shroud around the opening that goes in the carb throat.

As with the jets themselves, those emulsion tubes (that is what they are called) are also numbered differently for different applications. I doubt the 650's are the same as the 1100's.

Thanks Nate. Yeah the part number for those tubes is: 3H5-14941-02-00 and are only applicable to the 80-82 1100s.

I don't suppose you have an extra 4 of them hanging out at your place?

I can get the other jets from georgefix. I plan on getting the complete rebuild kit for $69. That way I'll get the new float valves, idle mix screws (& o-rings) Bowl gaskets and new mains & pilots.

I've read everywhere here that the 80SGs have (4) 110s, but the microfiche says 120/125s. I'll have to take mine apart again and see what's in there.

Brasso and a tiny tube brush will clean those up. Pay paticular attention to the holes as they can get a bit elonggated over years of use, and alot of times that is just a build up around the holes.

Thanks nate. I didn't think about brasso. I'll try to Polish them when I get some free time.
