For the turn signals partsnmore has nice new units, with nice shiney new chrome for a really reasonable price. I've been looking for a set of fronts to put on my Windjammer III for quite a while and finally found the ones on partsnmore. I think they are like less than $20 each for new there, something like that, I was pretty surprised at the price.Cy

I need exactly the parts that partsnmore has. I checked and your going to need to find the parts used, cause the parts you need don't exist in the yamaha parts list for your bike, so your going to have to get them from an earlier model and they are NLA for them. Yours only came with the fairing on it, the Windjammer III doesn't have turn signals, it just has a place to mount the signals from the bike, but the signals that are on mine were from some other bike, and the lenses got broke, so I need to replace them, I figured I'd put the correct ones for the bike on it, when I put it on the bike so I can paint the one that is one the bike (windjammer IV which has built in turn signals). But after I paint it, it's going to need about 2 months for the paint to cure before it will be ready to put several coats of 2 part clear over the top of the color changing lacquer, then it goes back on the bike.
I gotta do the tank too, but being metal I can bake it in the oven so it will be cured in 24 hours and ready for the 2 part. Can't do that with the plastic fairing (not only that, it's too big to fit into the oven anyways ).Cy

Yep, one of the reasons mine will stay a full dresser. But then I'd still like to get a second bike so I could have a project bike to build up.Cy

Stay
I orderd one of the stays from parts n more and the threads where the nipple screws in are bigger. I could not find a metric nipple and nut to make it work. I ended up buying a nos on ebay to install.78 XS1100E Standard

I just need to put together in my case basically a rear turn setup (only front with dual filament bulbs) to put on my Windjammer III as my backup fairing, I think the partsnmore stuff will work fine for me for that purpose. It would be nice to find a source for the nipples and such though. Of course I'd still have to find a headlight bucket and headlight to be able to pull the fairing (I'd still keep the bags and trunk on even without the fairing I'm thinking, but who knows?) but until/if I can find all the parts needed to do this, it's a moot point.Cy

Nubian, awhile ago, I put a windjammer on my 80G, I might still have the front turn signals that i took off. I'll look in my shed tonight and see if I still have them.
Maybe get a pic uploaded too. The headlight bracket I left on the tree, but I've got a fork seal change coming up, so I might take the headlight bracket off too.Hi, my name is George & I'm a twisty addict!
