Vintage Yamaha Rally - September 2025

Rally is off to a great start.
Already 20 Vint Yama riders here at Iron Horse by Thursday.
We all had a nice time last night. Great to see friends we normally only get to see once or twice a year.

A bunch more arriving today, Friday. Nancy all setup at 07:00 for people to get their Goodie Bags (chatsky stuff & candy + candy bar) the usual registration etc. Sign up sheets for those interested in a Group Ride as we have 4 Groups offering rides to accommodate various riding Skill Levels, Mileage and Time. Some Friday rides be happening.

Yamaha rules,,,,,only a bit of distance for me from San Diego,,,hope y all have a great time with these great old bikes. Hope to see some pics of the bikes and riders here, the xs crew will love them. THanks for all you do Jeff and company to keep the Yamaha spirit alive................Mike in San Diego and Pa.

Friday mostly sunny weather prevailed. The Chicken Little (sky is falling) forecasters were luckily way wrong. Friday ride Groups went out in all compass directions. So some pre-rally rally rides accomplished.

Iron Horse dinner choices were Shrimp, Catfish or Salad. Guaranteed not radioactive shrimp that has been a problem lately.

Bunch more attendees arrived Friday afternoon & evening. Some locals arrived this morning (Sat AM) A fantastic collection of Vintage Yamaha machines and XS11 is very well represented this year. Steve has a Bob Jones bike here.

Have 4 ride Groups setup for today going on various roPics. Looks to be a pretty good day today for riding.

Well, we've got some soggy bottom riders rolling back into Rally Central. So being mountains in all directions the juiced up atmosphere made weather unpredictable. T-Storms but now sunny kind of day.

Headed over the Cherohala Skyway but 15 miles up the mountain the skies were dark grey so did a 180° and went to El Pacifico in Robbinsville for a very good lunch.
