I am not totally up on the complete history of this event...how old is it and how did it come about? I can recall back in 2008 or '09 at XSEast when Earl was telling me how great TWO was and what has now become XSSE was such a great place to be...I came down to NC and this was in my range. My first rally was the "XSive Riders rally" at TWO in 2010 the last year we all were there before moving on to the Iron Horse...so please enlighten me...us on the complete history of this great rally...TIA

XSSE began as a vintage Japanese motorcycle rally sponsored by MOTORCYCLECARBS.com. Rob Reil started it to promote his business.
Rob did this for a few years then eventually stopped showing up. He no longer has anything to do with the business.
The first rally was heavily attended by the XS1100 folks. TC has been every fall, as far as I know, along with Gary, Bruce, Brent, and myself. The first one was at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Camp.
2003-2010 the rally was held at Two Wheels Only in Suches, GA. Some of us kept showing up every year whether anyone hosted a rally or not. We got together on this forum then showed up there. It was a wonderful motorcycle resort. When it shut down after 2010, we had to find a new place, so we tried the Iron Horse which has turned out to be a fantastic motorcycle resort.
There is a photo album for each year on Facebook.

Ya know, in all the time I've known and ridden with Brent, I believe these are the first pics and definitive evidence his XS11 DOES EXIST!!
It's always seemed like an urban legend to me...
I hear he actually owns one, but never see it!
Every place I've ever ridden with him, he's either been on his old red HD, his Buell, or his new HD.
Thanks for posting the proof, Marty!
(Not that I ever doubted your word, Brent... LOL! )'82 XJ1100J Maxim (has been sold.)
