There are many tactics in Va for catching speeders Cameras that capture tags and transmit to other locations and time movement. Radars on the cameras planes toll ticket plazas time you. Patrole cars etc etc. But one thing you may not consider is that if you have a GPS they can take it and get information off of it to track your speed. GPS can also be used for defense in court if it shows you are not speeding.
To fix the problem one should not make more assumptions than the minimum needed.

          NOVA speeding

ON the beltway traffic runs pretty fast. At rush hour 70 is the norm though I ease of during off hours. Most state troopers leave you alone under 10 over on the interstate.

Last year returning from XSEast I was hit with 70 in a 55 on VA-55 about 3 miles shy of I-81. My son, Chris picked up a ticket on VA-42 a couple of years ago.

So go easy on VA backroads if you don't know them. I use cruise control to moderate my speed in my car but on the bike, well, we know how fast one can accelerate.
