    Emergency Tribig needs help

    Just got a call from Todd. He is broke down near Wildersville, Tennessee and needs a complete U-joint as the splines went bad on his.
    If anyone is near or can help him out call him. 580-421-5782

    Update

    Todd made use of a file to reshape the u-joint splines and is putting it back together right now. Hopefully that will work long enough to get him home.

      Just talked with Tod
      Tod got his bike back together running. It survived a 1/4 mile ride to room. Greg, Harry & John have caught up to him, unloading into motel room now.

      sounds like he is good to go.

        Sorry to hear of this problem on the road. I am curious. Are these u joints available as replacement parts?

            FWIW, the only other time I have read or heard of someone having a problem with the U-Joint on an XS1100, was the last time Tod had an issue with his. Some folks are just HARD on their stuff!!

              Another hard rider Brent lost a joint in the middle of Illinois on his way to what was to be the first "lost" rally on his seldom seen XS in 2007. Fun to hear him tell the story.
