If we have time, I may look into a fork oil change while I'm there. It's something I've never done, and it would be nice to have some experienced eyes watching over me if I mess something up.

LOL!! Hardly! I only have guru by my name because I can't keep my fingers off the keyboard. Post count is in no way indicative of expertise or experience.

          Okay... here's the deal...

I found out a couple of days ago that John's vacation isn't the week before the MoM... it's the week after... What this means, is that he won't be available until Saturday to help with anything...
Tod may not be here and the KC crew won't be rolling in until Friday afternoon... not sure how much we can get done... everyone might be tired from the road...

So... with that being the case... and with us wanting to do the car show Saturday evening (it ends at 9 PM) we need to prioritize... and organize...

Figure out what y'all need done and we'll try to get that first...
If we have time for the want tos... we'll do those...

Thanks and looking forward to seeing everyone

Just bring some extra lamps out to the driveway, and we'll work into the wee hours of the night! If we start early enough on Saturday, and we have enough separate groups working at the same time, there isn't much that can't be done in one day. Of course, all the fat-chewing may get in the way of productivity...

Please PM me with address. Also if the head work is not possible I'll just ride over instead of coming in truck.

                    Rod, and everyone.

I had some unexpected things come up and will be unable to attend. Sorry for any inconveniences this may cause.

                      • do y'all have a mity-vac or something similar for brake bleeding? Just trying to figure out what I'm gonna do before going down there as I've had my rear brakes lock up once and drag a few other times.

                        Thanks

                        • Pull that rear caliper off and take it apart and clean it up.

It's probably just full of gunk. If it's not leaking now you should be able to reuse the seals for now.

                              • Just curious, b/c I'm a bad judge of these things. How long will a new guy need to plan on for this pull, clean, swap out the pads while I'm there, clean MC and bleed w/out a mity-vac (can't drop another chunk-o-change)?

I'll probably have to put this off until Wed. or Thur b/c of the time commitment required, so I hope to see you all on Fri.
