Okay... so it looks like we have one shaft boot replacement and two possible valve jobs?
    lol
    ummmmmm... nevermind...

If that's all that needs to be done... if those that need work done can get here early enough Friday to do the work then... or get it done early enough Saturday... we can go for a ride then do the car show Saturday evening...

From what I understand, this can be done without pulling the rear wheel?
If you want to do that, I'll help you. We'll just drain/pull the middle drive to do it. Maybe 30 minutes? An hour if we take the time to drink a beer or two and point and laugh at everybody else like normal.. lol.

OK.. maybe a bit longer if the old gasket is a major PITA and needs some scraping.. but not a big job at all if you wanna get 'er done!

She's more than likely a good bit smaller than you... him... I'm not so sure about... but it will be interesting for the rest of us to watch...

I got plans for a big bore install next year so I most likely can forgo the cam chain replacement. But (one T), my shaft boot is more silicone sealer than rubber now.( Go ahead, run with that yall) From what I understand, this can be done without pulling the rear wheel? Having a bagger makes it a pain. Or, I could just supervise, sumthin. Renee may make the ride this time. Gonna hafta do some short hops to see how her recently repaired back is going to fair.

I think April will have a problem with showers more than a problem with heat.

What makes you think you need a cam chain replacement? A cheaper easier option... you might try to find one of the automatic adjusters that's been talked about on here. They have quite a bit more adjustement length to them than the stock XS adjuster.

BUT.. if you still want to change it, I'll help if you need it. I can bend valves with the best of them!

John/Kat. I have a large, virgin (don't ask) digital camo net (WTF is digital camo?), I can send to you before the event happens. It should provide sufficient shade without the "sail" effect. Since the SWBO has scheduled a week in LA, languishing on the beach, I am gonna milk this event for all its worth. I promise, to a reasonable extent, to maintain a professional demnor commursate with the oath of office (what?). Or not. I will let TRBIG be the lead on this one.
