IF you have violated 'nuff HOA rules, and it becomes just a bit more of a hassle than your willing to deal with again, I offer my humble, carpeted, air conditioned, cable equiped, man cave as an alternate location. Maybe 2011? Might be nice to just "ride away" from the carnage this event can create and let someone else work it. Or, spread it around to different locations close. John, you hafta bring your nifty scooter lift.

I was contemplating making it a 2-day travel each way, stopping at the Joplin KOA. I can't afford a hotel, so whatever I'm doing, I'll be camping it. It's a 12-hour trip in a car, and that's with minimal stops. I'll need to add at least an hour or three with the bike for gas/rest stops. That makes a one-day run rather difficult.

If I started out on the 15th, that would put me in Tulsa by mid-morning on the 16th, with 6 more hours to go after that. I would make it to Hurst by dinner time!

Of course, this is all up in the air at this point, and I am only in the contemplation stages. I normally don't travel light, so this will be an adventure in planning and packing for me.

If there is a group heading down from KC, I'd like to meet up with you at some point along the way. Perhaps some place in Oklahoma?

Not sure what my plans are at the moment other than ending up in Hurst, Tx on the 16th. Alot depends on the weather.

I have six days of vacation/personal time till June.
Have to burn one up next week making a speed run from Tulsa to 29 Palms.
