I spoke with Lee about this but I haven't heard for sure from Bob Falter yet. Our tentative plans are, Bob will head down here Thursday morning and meet up with me. We will ride to Wichita and visit Ivan for awhile. We will stay somewhere around Wichita and get up early the next morning, meet up with Lee and head to Hurst. If we get an early start, that should put us at your place around noon.

Lee, I haven't heard from BigDick on his plans but he is welcome to join us.

I'm going to be heading north sometime Friday (planning to ride north, anyway) and meet up with whomever comes along 35...

Not quite sure what the plan is right now or how everyone's schedules will coincide... but where do you think you'll be around noon Lee?

I believe Tod is coming in early Friday morning, maybe he'll wait for you in Oklahoma.

    I think that's a great idea!

I'm having a poster made up for everyone to sign next weekend for him... and a couple of other members are trying to get some aid for him in various ways...

Hopefully, all of this has a good ending...
We're keeping Ivan and his family in our prayers....

and thank you to Trainzz for keeping us informed... it is MUCH appreciated

    Ivan

It is very sad to hear about what happened Ivan. He is very nice guy. He sent me a tank for pretty cheap when it was tough for me. I know he was planning on making it to the MOM and I think at some part of this coming weekend we do something for him. I have found out through the couple months on this forum that it is full of very caring and thoughtful people. One of them was Ivan FOR SURE! This weekend I was looking forward to meeting Ivan, along with everyone else, but since a young kid didnt know how to drive, I wont be able to meet him this time around. So, after saying all of this, I know that im fairly new here, but we should dedicate this coming weekend to him or SOMETHING. Ivan is in our prayers and our thoughts and we all hope that he has a speedy recovery.

<chuckle> I can tell after reading all the posts, I'm gonna be missin' out on some great fun. Bein' new to the XS and the forum, and having a prior commitment, keeps me away this year, tho. That, and the road rash from last weekend's mishap is a royal PITA in this heat. Y'all that are ridin' to the Metroplex, watch out for TxDot's crappy road-grooving preparatory to laying down new pavement; it don't make for smooth landings, I'm happy to be here to tell ya. My Vulcan is relatively OK; I'm actually more scraped up and bruised than she is. And, all things considered, it was still a great weekend.

Reckon I'll just have to plan on and look forward to next year's Meeting of the Minds. Y'all have a blast.

    And, be careful out there...

    Jim
