  • 2nd Annual Meeting of the XSive Minds - 2008

I'm not REALLY trying to take up all of the space in the area... but it was pointed out that the info is no longer easy to find in the Members' Lounge...

Thursday, June 19 - arrival and hang out
Friday, June 20 - arrival and workday
Saturday, June 21 - ride and car show
Christian Classic Cruisers car show... hopefully, more than our bikes and a Honda this year

Sunday, June 22 - breakfast and head home

Place - Hurst, Texas (halfway between Ft. Worth and Dallas)

Mark your calendars now... remember this will be the XS's 30th Anniversary and a good chance to get together with other XSives to celebrate

    Please PM for directions...

    Head count please

Okay guys and gals, the Meeting of the Minds is next month (man! is it just me or is this year really going by fast?)
Please either post a reply here or PM me to let us know you are going to be here... There are a couple of things planned that need a moderately accurate head count...

Thanks and we are REALLY loooking forward to seeing everyone again as well as meeting some new bikes and the people who ride them...

                FD swap

I have a project that needs doing when y'all get here. I have this 750 FD, and I happen to have a Bagger that doesn't have one...yet. That would be a good job to do whole the gang's all here.

But I always thought Wildkat was rather good looking.
                  Shame you don't think so.

                    My Dear Prom

You right, and wrong. She (WK's bike) got her new 'rear end' last year, and she (WK) is rather good looking.

                      John and WK,
Sorry to say, but I won't be able to make it out. The price of gas is just too high, and it would cost me over $350 in gas alone for the one week trip. I need to save my pennies for July, when SWMBO and I fly out to an Island so I can try some WARM water diving.
Have a great time, and DO tip a beer for me!

WOW !!!! I'm going to do my best to be there. I'm in Oklahoma City visiting my sister from the 17th through the 24th so this fits right in!! I'm looking for a bike to rent for ride the down but may end up in a car. Being so close for such a monumental event and not being there wouldn't be right.
I'm doing the East coast rally next weekend and I'm pumped up for that. Thinking about being at the Texas event is making me NUTZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                          Good news, bad news...

dpotter58, glad you will be joining us!
Hopefully, everything works out for a great trip for you!

Ray, sorry you won't be joining us... but we certainly understand...
We'll catch you next time around, hopefully...

We're looking forward to a great time! and Da-Bubble was kind enough to talk to his Dad, who talked to his friend, who owns a motorcycle shop... who just happens to have a Dyno...
                          ~he he he~
We will be in touch with him to talk about dyno testing if there's some interest... I know I would like to have my bike tested and I think John's on board as well...
Any others? I'd like to have an idea how many bikes might want to be tested and try to get a price for us at the same time... We'd probably do it Friday, early afternoon, maybe?

                          See y'all soon!

Since YOU won't be there... who else is left to fight with?? John and Kat's kids aren't any challenge yet... lol.

Maybe next time. Can you go ahead and schedule in the 40th anniversary get together now?
