        Plans and places

Okay... it looks like we will be meeting at our (John and Wildkat) place on

        - Saturday, June 16

(anyone who wants to come in on Friday is welcome too)

        - BBQ at 3:00 or so (Saturday)

(but will have food available of some kind for anyone getting in earlier)

        Car show 5- 9 (Saturday)

Back to our house for smoked turkey sandwiches or whatever...

We'll go for a ride on Sunday morning and decide on the best route for everyone (keeping in mind the ride back for those leaving Sunday) Saturday night.

Is that all completely confusing now?

                          Even with the rain...

Neither rain, nor hail, nor sleet, nor snow, nor heat of day, nor dark of night shall keep these XSives from a rally...
Wow! Never thought so many people would go through such nasty weather just to make faces at HobbyMan... but a decent turnout despite it all...
Tod came in Friday to go to the races... and HobbyMan was AWOL... so were the races... Due to rain earlier in the day, races were cancelled... but John, Tod and I had a nice ride out to the track anyway... cut it short as there was a LOT of lightning moving our direction.
Saturday was good... rain most of the morning but cleared up a little in the afternoon... Andrew came in early to get a jump on the food and was good enough to leave some for the others when they got in around 3:30. skippy344 and his beautiful bride (Greg and Lynda) and webbcraft came in... followed a bit later by Hippie Dave (riding a Honda ... with FOUR wheels)
After some food and talk... we mounted up and headed off to the car show... which was cancelled.... webbcraft headed home at that point and the rest of us went back to our house.
We decided to mount up and head northwest as that is where the Weather channel said there wasn't any rain... WRONG... rain rain rain rain rain... so we turned around and headed back to the house... where there was beautiful blue sky above us... mounted up again and headed south... then west... clear skies... sun... cool weather (in Texas... in June... talk about being smiled upon) Dave and his lovely lady, Cindy, rode my 81 (I will NEVER wash that seat again... WHAT an honor... I'm almost giddy ... eat your heart out Shameless Hussy )
John lead the way along a local lake road with lots of twisties... I rode sweep so I was able to watch everyone else ride... pretty cool... especially when Dale_1 threw some sparks going into a curve (he will now be known, unofficially, as Sparky)... After the lake road we jumped on the highway and the FJ said it was time to air out a little bit... so I twisted the throttle a little... ahem... then Andrew went blowing by me (after I slowed down)... By the time we stopped... we had been separated by a traffic light... and imagine my surprise when the three bikes still with me were ridden by trbig, HobbyMan and Hippie Dave... (yeah I know... shocking, eh?)
Made it back to the house and hung out for awhile... planned on going for a ride this morning, but the rain might change that plan... Greg and Lynda are riding home as I type... but the rest of us are hanging out...
Thanks to all for coming in and making this a great weekend!

Alright alright I know you were all worried about my journey home you can rest easy because I made it home safe.

I have got to say that it was good to see everyone even though we did not get the chance to ride much or go to the car show. I had a good time. THank you John and Kat for opening your home to a few wet bikers cooming out of the rain. (hey I was wet this morning also) And as always the food was excellent also. I will keep everyone updated on everything. Thanks again for showing up eveyone, it was awesome.

Just made it home safe and sound... I got 39.4 miles a gallon.... about 6 or 7 more than I get when I ride with just Hobbyman... Hmmm...

Thank you so much again John and Kat for opening your home to strange people again... especially me! The food WAS excellent, and the company as always was fantastic. Great to see everyone again and hope you get home safe. Happy Father's Day all.
