  • TeXSive Rally Update: Small Location Change.

    Howdy TeXSives,
    Small change of plan.

I have recently discovered that the Hill Country Octoberfest in Fredriksburg is the same weekend as our planned rally. This has caused all hotels in Kerrville to be full (and I mean full).

So we are making a small locale change and will be meeting in Hondo Texas instead. This is a little further south but still in the ride area. The Hotels are much less expensive too, so that is a plus.
There are two hotels I have contacted that say they still have several rooms available.

    The Executive Inn
    102E 19th St. HWY90E Hondo, TX 78861
    Phone: (830)426-2535
    Fax: (830)426-8202
    Website: http://www.hondoexecutiveinn.com/

    Regency Inn
    Hwy. 90W & Texas Hwy. 173, Hondo, TX 78861
    830-426-3031
    Website: http://www.regencyinn-hondo.com/

Both hotels prices are $55.00 a night for a single queen/king bed.
Nancy and I are staying at the Executive Inn, but you are free to stay at either one.

I recomend that you make reservations soon as both Hotels say they have plenty of room at the moment but that could change.

Those of you that will be there friday night for dinner, we will be meeting at
    Hermann Son's Steak House
East Highway 90, Hondo, TX 78861
    Tel: 830 426 2220

Here is a link to a map to Hondo:

Just another thought for those of you who were with us last year.
Hondo is a bit larger town that Bandera, and I am fairly certain that the hotels are much better than the one we all stayed in last year.

If you were there, you know what i am talking about.

      Peace

I booked my room this afternoon, also at the Executive Inn. Should be fun. I'm glad to here other ladies attending the rally. This will give Deborah a chance to share stories with other XS'ers.

I'll be taking a pickup truck from Houston, anyone need me to haul stuff or need a ride?

Aw , geez, I just figured out how to get to Kerrville!! Hondo? Ok, still signed up up. ETA, midmorning on Friday. What time is dinner? (And I ain't gonna go thru SA!!!) Unless of course someone wants to meet up there. I will just spike the SWMBO morning coffee with a Zanex, that way she won't be sceared.
