I am getting the itch to get in one more road trip before the good weather goes away. I am thinking the 2nd or 3rd week of September.
Anybody interested in making it NW XS/XJ event? Or have another route in mind, or just want to meet some where a couple of hundred miles from Olympia. I would prefer mid-week, but weekends are OK too.
A possible short route (from Olympia):
North on US101, east on Hwy20, south on US97, southwest on Hwy 970, west on I90, south on Hwy18, south on Hwy 169, west on Hwy 410, south/west on Hwy 512, south/west on I5, west on US101.
577.4 miles. If is where not for the ferry ride at Port Townsend, it could be a one day ride. I am thinking of taking it easy and making it a leisurely two day ride around the Sound and Cascades.
Longer version.
Stay on Hwy20 to US395. Then either south to Spokane or east on 2. Come back through south central Washington or the Gourge.
Otherwise, I will hit the road solo and see where I end up!
