Just a note to let y'all know I've made it home safe and sound.

14 days, slighty over 10,000 kms - what a trip! Over 1300 kms yesterday in the final stretch to get home, riding 9 am to 1 am - lots of butt breaks.

I'm gonna go sleep some more.

Good deal! Can't wait to see the write-up! Was the trip as hot (most days over 100F) as last years Colorado trip?

Jeff, It was good to meet you too - any chance to take a nap is welcome.

Gary, I don't know when/if there will be a write up... I just have too much to do! I'll try to get some pics online at any rate. The weather varied fantastically, from a day and a half or so rainy, to damned hot across North Dakota and Montana (about 105 deg F) a little cool in Seattle and BC, to record lows around western Alberta and Severe thunderstorm warnings across the prairies and into Ontario (read: Ron was soaking wet for a couple of days). I actually broke down and got a motel room one night because my tent and sleeping bag were still wet from the night before.

On the upside, during the worst weather day, the clouds parted about half an hour before I got to Winnipeg. One of the highlights of the trip was a planned visit to Muddy Water's Smokehouse BBQ & Blues downtown Winnipeg. So I had an amazing plate of beef, back, and side ribes, slow cooked over hardwood smoke -- on the patio with no rain. Of course that didn't last long. An hour out of Winnipeg it started up again, and didn't quite until very late the next day.
