Just a thought here....
I've also joined the "triples" list (wifes XS750). In reading posts of a few recent rallies there was some trouble finding someone and/or contacting people.

I think we should leave emergency contact numbers at our destination "just in case".

While travelling I'll have my cell phone (209) 484-9983. My home number (just in case) is (209) 578-0272, my wife's name is Lara. Her cell phone is (209) 484-9984.

What's prompted this is one of the triple rallies, a well known lister never showed-up and no one could find him till a week or so after the rally. It turns out he had a M/C accident just before leaving.

Posting our numbers with Sid might help locate lost sheep, inquire if someone got sidetracked, or might be missing in action on the way to Sids (broke-down. accident, etc...)

We had an "11th hour dispute" that almost kept me from the trip but that seems to have worked itself out so things are a go for me at this point. I'm already planning for next year, will have wifes XS750 ready and I hope to build a folding tent trailer that's been kicking around in my head.

In the 11th hour, I'm going to take my shot at going.

I'll be trucking the midnight to Oregon (Tualatin), and then riding the rest to Port Angeles (1245 boat) and on to Sid's on the 30th.
Leaving Santa Cruz area about 6am and going straight up Hwy5.
Have a bike ramp and winch in truck bed if you have a break down and need a lift. Can be reached at cell phone 831 252 6040.

Look for me on the road Chuck. I'm biking up I-5 the same day as far as Weed the taking 97 to Bend, OR (family). I'll be leaving about 6 am. It's the faded maroon 78E with the full touring kit.

My brothers number is 503-247-1003. No cell phone in this group. We are leaving Portland at around 10:30 am on the 31st. Planning to catch the 5:15 ferry from Port Angeles and then spending the night in Victoria as some have never been there. Hope to pull into Sid's early on the 1st. See ya there.

Saturday AM

Looks like its shaping up to be an extreemely early ride on Saturday Morning the 3rd, grab the early ferry from Vancover, (5:15) if i can swing it.. be at Sids by breakfast.. Call me if you need me to pick up anything on the way in..
