Hi Ben,
Restaurant next door , needs to be checked out, but looks promising.
Certainly big enough parking lot.

I can defer to Newton. Like I said, I have no feel for the area. Folks with local knowledge know best; lodgings, routes.
So, where should we stay?
(I found the rates listed now jump up at Memorial Day.)Leave a comment:

Looks like this would be in the $70 per night range for double occupancy...I would have called but i am totally deaf on phones...

I just looked at where Gresham's is..Its on Lake Wallenpaupack..During a holiday weekend the traffic in this area is congested at best..and it will be like going to the jersey shore..packed and crowded...a nice place to stay but a holiday weekend there is gonna be crowded...lots of RVs and boats and campers..and fisherman..etc..a real zoo...I've been throught there on a Sunday ride and going through Honesdale took me 30 mins..cant imagine what it would be like on a holiday weekend...

The motel in Newton is set up with outdoor entrances and parking in front of your room..I believe their rates are less expensive than Gresham...Leave a comment:

I called around some today. Looks like the Gresham is the best bet and best rates. They have 21 rooms. It appears the Fairbridge has only 10 units.
I'll call Gresham tomorrow to set something up.Leave a comment:

For what it's worth, I kinda liked that Fairbridge Inn Express in Milford. Due to the always much preferred park right outside your room door thing. We almost got to do that last year at that very nice W Va place. No stupid hallways for me !
As usual, much looking forward to May..Leave a comment:

I would like to try to make this if NJ PA. Close enough I wouldn’t have to trailer.
As a side note I have long wanted to do a US 6 trip coast to coast. Someday maybe...Leave a comment:

Hi Mark,
We are still discussing. The NJ area is certainly leading other suggestions so far and is my favourite
as I have not ridden in NJ.
As much as I like WV I would like to go somewhere else this year.

With Randy bowing out, are we tied to this area or is this still open to discussion? I agree that it's time to start making firm arrangements.Leave a comment:

So can you suggest some roads?
From my Dingman's Ferry stay I recall Milford seemed kind of a quaint town.
I checked two motels in the area
Fairbridge Inn Express in Milford. The gentleman I spoke with had ESL indicated $60 a night, I'm not sure on the room count.
Gresham Motel up in Wilsonville. they got 21 rooms at $105 a night, 3 nights required.
Looks like a number of places for $65 if we're not picky.Leave a comment:

I can't host this one, too much going on here this coming season. But I can help suggest roads. Also Ben used to live nearby, Earl and Ralph are fairly near so they may have suggestions also.Leave a comment:
