State Farm used to give me a Canada card for the asking. No dates or cost were involved. They've told me it's no longer necessary. The term 'rider' is what prompted my question.

They update my insurance policy on bike I ride up to include Canada coverage for the dates then mail me a new insurance card showing proof of insurance specific for Canada and the Canadian law enforcement and legal system. Bike and i are covered in Canada with that Canada rider on the policy. It doesn't cost me anything and it keeps me legal without question if I have a problem or get stopped.

1st response post, guess that's correct looking way back to Nov 3rd. That was a long time ago.

I'd maybe like to take a long ride north if I get my tasks completed here. The routes chosen look like some good riding and you have a Hit Parade of XSives showing up so I know it will be fun. Somewhat depends on the weather and somewhat on my mood (which has been mr grumpy lately). Wife says go so I might just do that. Got three weeks to figure it out and two weeks to see which bike I can get ready for 2,700 mile trip. Got a room reserved too that I can cancel by the 26th so that is covered too for Fri-Sat-Sun nights.

btw: just dug out both the passport and the ez-card and also found C$68.55 maybe that's an omen. Just need to call Progressive for the insurance rider if I decide to ride.

    GPS Route Files

If interested, I have GPX files for both Saturday and Sunday rides.
Just send me a PM with your email address and I'll send them to you.

fyi: software wasn't happy going down Opinicon Road and Bennett Road (it wanted to route around
and not cross at all at Chaffey's Locks or go down Bennett) but I forced it to work.

Built in an 09:00 departure time for both days with 90 minutes for lunch at Maples and Fiddleheads.
Routes should run just fine on Garmin or TomTom.

All the arrangements sound good. I've added the route links to the web page as well.

I'm not sure how I can do that. Is there a link or a program that I can convert them?
