      Considering an assualt on Canada

July is prime riding time for me now...once school job starts that will be the end of it. Its only 920 miles by the route google has routed me but that doesnt take into account any different routes i might take to meet up with Earl or Brent...also have to check my finances to see if its doable...getting down there ya know..

Those of you coming from USA. Avoid Toronto and the highways around it as it is a long week end and everyone will be leaving town.
If crossing at Buffalo I will be planning a day ride to North Bay on Friday.
If crossing at the Thousand Islands look for roads to Algonquin Park /Hwy 60

                    Discount on rooms

One week left until the discounted rate expires on June 17th.
It's not a lot, but better in our pockets.
I stopped by the motel today and they do have soup and chilli in the evenings as well as Continental breakfast in the mornings, no charge.
There is a BBQ on site for our use.

                      • Another Possible Discount at Our Motel

I have just come to realize that the motel we are staying at is part of the Choice Hotel Canada chain. If you are retired from the Federal (Canadian Government) and are a member of the National Association of Federal Retirees, the FSNA, you can get a discount of up to 20%. So, if you miss the deadline for our XS11 rally discount, you may be able to get the FSNA discount if you are a member.

Even though Bruce Doucette made our reservations, I may still try and get the FSNA discount in addition to the rally one once we get there.
