Would it be better to swing over to Guelph and then zig-zag north or continue along 401 to the other side of Toronto to say 12 or 35 then turn north?
Crossing at Buffalo leaves few options in road selections going in that direction.
brand new StarWhat does this friend ride and can you lead? Phil
.... Lead what?
This was mostly speculation on my part that I still might get up there.
Brent had to back out and my friend is still planning on going and I was thinking he should have a riding partner, which then starts me thinking that Sally and I should take this weekend and ride and then thinking we should head north.
It's not really procrastination on my part if it is just in time...Leave a comment:

Hi Marty A,Direction question, not for me, I have a friend.....
Microsoft S&T says after crossing at Buffalo, touring beautiful downtown St. Catherines and Mississauga, to take 400 north, then 11 north at Barrie, then 60 easterly at Huntsville. Is that a fair route? Directest, not too crowded, too rural?
That is highway to Huntsville. anything starting with 4__ is like your Interstate. 400 on a Friday afternoon is a traffic nightmare to at least Bracebridge. to go that way I would ADD 2 hours for traffic on a summer week end. I will be plotting a course across country closer to the time.
60 has some of the best scenery in Ontario passing though Algonquin Park, watch for MOOSE & Bears and dumb tourists.
What does this friend ride and can you lead?

Roomie
I booked a single room back at the start, not knowing that it had two double beds in it. I assumed it had just one double like a motel. As I mentioned, it turns out to have two double beds in it. One person in the room is $74.00 a night and two people is $84.00 a night. Who'da thunk it?. Anyway I got a roomie now so it all worked out for the best. RickLeave a comment:

Room at the Inn
I just checked with Ash Grove Inn. I booked a single room for the 17th & 18th @ $74.00cdn. per nite. There are two double beds in the room. It is only an extra $10.00 per night for a second person if we need it.Leave a comment:
