I just spotted this thread and it looks like you guys have it well in hand... so to speak!

I'll have to mark it on my calendar so I don't forget.

You guys might have to give me some directions...

Thanks, I believe that I would enjoy an XS rally iwith Y'all n the Poconos.

Work(?) permitting, I will be there...,
unless I get sidetracked on some back road with one lane bridges leading to the Blue Ridge Parkway around Roanoake...
unless there is a tornado watch with thunderstorm....,
unless my headlight burns out at night in the rain...,
unless I miss a turn & make a wrong turn...
unless I forget my mapquest directions at home on the printer...
unless it is cold and drizzly in Scranton,
unless there is road construction & heavy traffic in Harrisburg

If all this happens again, I will probably be a little late...like on my last trip to York. Anyway, I am good for the price of a T shirt.

It ain't easy being me, but it sure is a lot of FUN.
Maybe I will leave early and pack a lunch and bring some tools.

                    Thanks Marty and Ralph,

You may see me riding Deals gap yesterday 11-12-08.on Killboy
The pics are not posted for that day yet, but they have some of a car show showing new camaro and a dodge challenger.

Just a shopping trip today. Yes you can haul cigars and groceries on a bike.

Do not Let Randy sabotage my plans to attend several XS rallies by moving them all to the same day. A person 'could' travel more than 1000 miles to get to a rally. Even a special with 4 gallon tank is capable of making 1000 miles in 24 hours. It would be easy enough to make XS rallies in Port Ontario NY, South Lake Tahoe California, RockFalls Illinois, Suches Ga, and Talihina Oklahoma in the same year, but certainly not in one day.

XSEast 2008 update - To the Poconos!

Here's where I'm at so far:

                            HOTEL:

I'm meeting this Sat with the manager of the local Budget Inn, 112 rooms (plenty) and they even have a good restaurant in-house for the Sunday Dinner, Breakfasts, etc. He's very excited about hosting us, so I'm hoping his rate will follow suit. I know this place well, we stayed there in the winter of '05 when we were displaced by the fire. It was nice then and has since been re-modeled.

If anyone wants to google map the area, use zip 18360 or 18301.

                            SHIRT:

Ralph the madbiker has done the magic again with the shirt logo and I'll post the final draft when it's ready. I'd like input on the shirt color from anyone who cares. I'm liking green or maroon. Voice your opinion and if there's an overwhelming choice, that's what we'll go with.

                            RIDES:

So far I've got one of the rides mapped out, but I'm going to drive it before I finalize it. I've worked in a couple of scenic stops to relieve the numb-butts and don't worry, Special Owners, there's plenty of gas around here.

                            That's all for now.

                                Hi Randy,
Looking at the website it does not mention how many beds are in each room and pictures show only one. I raise this as a point because while I have a few friends willing to put up with my Snoring AND Farting I don't think any of us are jumping into the same bed
