Hi Tom,
Happy New Year !
Brents Key West ride sounds more appealing but i guess a day of bike show will have to do. Time and place to meet?
Any one else coming.?

Just me so far.... that is kind of why I started the thread...
As for Brents Key west adventure I might do it next year depending on what's happening! Taking the bridges all the way out to the keys is something to do if you have never done it... and then you still want to do it again!

Any chance you have seen Cliff Hick's note on the RTE on Feb 10 on the MTF forume? The London bike show will be on and Inglis will have an open house. If this weather keeps up I may be able to ride the bike to it.
How is the FJR doing for you? I was wondering about one after the Venture wears out, but now I am thinking about a Vstrom.
I have been keeping an eye on what Cliff is doing. The same weekend as the London Bike show he is hosting a Lunch meeting south and east of london.
He has two routes planned. one like he did two years ago and another one around the two lower great lakes.
I think they are on June 9th.
I am planning on doing one of them, not sure which one.
The FJR is doing just great.... Not worn out. Got a couple of rallys planned for this year.

I am set to host an MTF regional in Midland on the June 16 date, one MI1000 and then another 5 state ride almost all on insterstates. Feel free to come on over. There is a June 9 ride out of Grand Rapids MI on the 9th as well that will circle Lake Michigan, so I have to decide which Great Lakes Ride to do.
Which rallies are you thinking about?
Maybe we will meet up, although I tend to ride the venture in rallies now. I did pick up another XS, it was sold as a parts bike but I think it that I will try to put it back on the road. It has the smaller tank so the range drops but I think I can work on that. It seems that a 78 GL1000 got into the IB rally in the hopeless class this year so maybe I should offer to ride an XS in the 09 rally.
Hopefully I will see you in Springfield in Feb. Enjoy the TO show.
Scott
