"...get into local short track racing..."

Is that sorta like going in a straight line but in a circle?

If you have a road course there I might bring the FZ1 and THAT might be fun.

        Yeah just kidding.

Got any interesting countryside - cliffs, gorge, Aztec pyramids sticking out of the ground? Interesting place to stop and gawk? Cool roads?

If not, a ride anywhere with a few stops to chat and eat and gas up is just as much fun.

Sorry, been eavesdropping and thought I would weigh on on this.

SE Wisconsin, where Kenosha is, has the Southern unit of the Kettle Moraines. It is a favorite area for the local SPort-Touring people, some curviness, some good views. Espesically if you get off the beaten roads. WI has a Rustic Road tour, and there are a lot of such roads in the kettles. Most are worth doing.

Also the dates picked are the last weekend of Wisconsin's State Fair, on the western edge of Milwaukee County. Good food and drink, and not the ugly drunken crowds you get at lakefront festivals. And they have free motorcycle parking. (Or did last year, anyway).

I will also volunteer to scout out local roads, if needed. I am still riding now, so can get a head start and post pictures for drooling purposes.
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

Now THAT is something I want on a T shirt- "The Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraines." That sounds so cool it might have to be an XS11 rally spot!

Can Sally and I get our picture taken in front of a sign that says that?

There are a couple Kettle Moraine signs, I will go looking for one that says "Southern Unit" (Normally it just says that on a map).

We are getting a couple inchs of snow here tonight, and I am out of town next week, but if I find one soon I will post a pic.
