Hey fellow Xs riders! The season is almost upon us less your the lucky group that doesn't know there is a down season) with this in mind I'm trying hard to get not one but three bikes up and running. My wife has decided that she too likes the xs11. My son now 16 is getting ready to take the motorcycle safety course so he can ride. I got him a xs650. Im saying I'm planning on bringing the Lost back to Illinois where it started 5 years ago. Cannot believe its been 5 years already. I know I don't have an amazing garage like Bob, or even awesome rodes like cruizer or dragon tamer. I'm just praying to have a great time hanging with old friends. First step is to get bikes up and running. 80 standard needsbreaks my wife's 79 needs pipes put on.

Thanks for the heads up! The last I had heard Hayward Guy was thinking about hosting the "Lost Rally" this year but have not heard anything solid as of yet.

Kind of running out of room to fit in all of the rides and rallies that I am already thinking of doing this summer but keep us posted, would like to attend if at all possible.

I'd like to have a get together, I'm waiting for the LCO bike show info to come out. They are usually sometime around the middle of July I believe. No big deal if I call it a lost Rally, just an open invite to everyone to come up, party,cook out,sit around the fire, camp/motel it and go on a couple rides. The LCO (local casino) has a band outside if weather allows or inside., bike show and a Charity ride on Sunday which is pretty good size. There's lots of bikers in town for it. That's the general idea right now. Nothing set in stone yet but that's the basic plan. If anyone else has a sure thing please go for it, nothing wrong with a couple options considering the logistics and time people have.

That's the way it used to be. The Lost rallies started out with one in May and another later in the season. Double the fun

It's all cool! I didn't see anything posted for a ride this year and was hoping that if I planned one I'd actually get my bike going. Only rode the 80 one day last year. Got new tires and rode it home to find out I had no breaks. Lost was just a funny term added to my first rally. Even with pre running the route and multiple maps I still got lost but we had fun doing it. So it has stuck! Your more than welcome to use Lost also it kinda works with north central. Its ok to get a little lost when your riding with a great group of guys.

Yup, all is well. The "Lost" part of the rallies in this area just seems to follow them around. While we have lost one or two riders in the last year or two, you would appear to be the only host that has lost an entire rally. This is possible a historical event? It could maybe be attributable to the multiple maps?

While Cruiser and I research the route multiple times before each rally and have never had a problem that way I cannot say that of a good many of our weekend rides. Especially if it involves Mindwebbs and myself. First you start out with some sort of destination,,,,,,,,,,,,"North" works well and then you go looking for interesting roads. I cannot remember that we ever got lost though, we always know about where we are. The typical conversation along those lines goes something like this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,me, "Peter, are we still in Wisconsin,,,Peter "why yes,,,,,,maybe", and then we keep riding until someone recognizes something. A border station/point of entry into the Yukon Territories or such is usually a good sign we have gone far enough at any one time. Then we pick another destination, say ahhh "South" or "West" and start all over. While this adds a lot of excitement and spice to any given ride it may not be for everyone. While Peter and I are not even close to the same age we just happen to think a whole lot alike. That fact alone has scared the bejeebers out of a good many people that know one or the other of us.

So the fact that you have gotten lost once does not really scare me much. Get us some dates and ride info so that we can try to schedule things and I will try to make it.

I still haven't heard the dates for the LCO motorcycle and music rally.
Checked their web site yesterday. I'm not sure if they are waiting to book music or what. At best right now all I can say is about the middle of July like last year. I'll keep checking because I know the folks that want motels need to book early, camping isn't an issue but not everyone's cup of tea.
Their big charity ride is/was on Sunday's which I think is kind of stupid if people have to travel home. I'll keep checking and update as soon as I see something. I'd like to know as well so I can prepare a little.

AUG 10th 2013 - Lost Rally

OK got a date set for a Lost Rally in NW Wisc if anyone wants to go, plenty of camping room and Motels right down the road very close. Date is set for the AUG 10th weekend. I'll post the motel names and some details on the ride I think would be a good one shortly so you can make plans or if theres any questions.
