XS11 (& also XS750/850) Friends,
Like many, the age of our bikes has taken a toll on the foot pegs overtime. For my XS11's I purchased several sets of USED XJ1100 pegs which work very well on the XS11. I also like that the XJ pegs are much wider and more comfortable in my opinion.
Unfortunately, good XJ pegs are getting much harder to find in good condition and they are fetching a premium of $50-100 for a "DECENT" set.
The pegs on my XS850 were in absolutely $hit condition and they had actually become a safety hazard. The edge of my right peg had become somewhat dislodged and my foot would slip off if I stood to de-wrinkle my pants (you know what i mean
). Peg covers are available from Yamaha still for this machine (and the XS11) for about $40/ea + shipping.
I found this set of Chinese-ium pegs for another Yamaha for $21 that looked like they could work. They worked perfectly and I am sure I will love them on the road.
You will have to use the ORIGINAL OEM pin but the new spring and peg work great. The pin provided is too long for our XS's.
Just a thought for anyone that has a crappy set of pegs on their XS

Kurt
