  • XS11 Bike Cover?

Awhile ago I saw some bike covers on E-Bay for the XS11. Can't find them anymore on e-bay. Anyone have any suggestions on good bike covers, which ones hold up in varying weather, which ones to avoid, etc?

If your talking about using it at home in the garage then a sheet is the best. If for outside I've used a Nelson Riggs and been happy with it. Only problem is if it gets wet you will have to remove it till it dries or they make the bike rust.
There's always a way, figure it out.

      .. big lots,
i buy the blue tarps from big lots for about 5 bucks. they last about 2 years here. no water gets through those. i camped under one with my bike one year in Daytona for bike week, it worked out very well

Thanks for the replies. Looking for something that fits the bike and repels the water....

Blue tarp is probably the cheapest...

Blue tarps fit ANYTHING. That's what the eyelets are for - just run some parachute cord through them, put it over yer bike, and tighten. voila.

Wal-Mart in the auto section has a very nice bike cover, it is water repellant but still breaths, has a cloth-like border around bottom that is semi-heat resistant so you dont have to wait till your pipes are all the way cooled off.

do try and park on cement or over something other than the ground, my pipes are starting to rust from the moisture of the ground, that is if your parking it outside.

the cover was only 19.99 and they have large and exta large in case you have fairing, or luggage/bags.

I had a Walmart cover, for my Standard outside. It lasted for the summer, and then decinergrated.

Switched to a trap, which was actually cheaper, and so far it has worked great. The Beemer was stuck outside over the winter under a trap and seems to have come out of it just fine.
I've been in more than one Hemisphere, and I wrote a book to help you do it too (or just prepare better for that week long road trip). Going Small, not just for the little guys.

the ones i've seen on ebay are not specific to xs11. They were all just the XL size that fit up to 95 inches.

Just received my "xs11" bike cover from Asia. It was cheap on the ebay auction and I am very well pleased with it. It looks and fits great. Comes with a bag to stuff it into.

I have used "Dowco" Guardian covers for years with good results. They would last 2-3 years in the killer NM sun and wind. They have the "aluminzed" bottom panels so you can put them on hot pipes. The bottom has a major elastic sewn into it for a tight fit. Also has a strap that will go under the bike and attach to the other side with d-rings to make things tighter. Plastic vent on top surface to let mosit air out. Flannel panel to protect windshield is a nice touch also. They run about $80. Cheaper than having a seat recovered or redoing the paint. XL fits my full dress hard bagger just right. Stuffs into a small pouch for road trip. It has been used as a raincoat for the few times I have had to pull off the road and wait for a monsoon to pass by.
                            When a 10 isn't enough, get a 11. 80g Hardbagger
