galley plug

on the right side, underneath the alternator cover/rotor, there is a galley plug with an o-ring. anyone know the exact size for that o-ring? reason is, i discovered a small leak and wanna replace it(again) with one from the harbor freight 'enuff o rings to last your whole life' set. ps-old one sealed tight all the way thru mexico and back. after the trip, bike had about 1 1/2 weeks 'off'. took it to the gas station for air/gas, next day a small leak. when i took off the cover, plug had popped out a bit. any ideas?

I found mine at Bike bandit. They have them for both sides , andthey were OEM. A dealer may be able to get them, if bike bandit can.

I don't know the exact size, but just find one that's pretty snug trying to pop it in, but not so snug that it feels like it's shaving it off to get it in. After that, clean everything up and keep an eye on it to make sure it's not your crank seal leaking.... will come out the same weep hole.

Do these rubbers come in MAGNUM size?

Oil Pump: 93210-18319-00 O-RING (2.2-18)

Timing Cover: 93210-18319-00 O-RING (2.2-18)

Alternator cover: 93210-13361-00 O-RING (2.5-12.6)

I got a #14 O-ring from Lowes for my oil pump mating Oring, it was listed as 3/32" thick, ID=3/4" ; OD=15/16"

The above listings are in mm, the first number is the thickness of the ring, the second number is the inner diameter measure across the ring.

3/32"=0.09375 in decimal, then times 25.4mm/inch = 2.3185mm.

3/4"=0.75 times 25.4= 19.05mm, also close!

But looks like the Alt plug is thicker, but smaller diameter!
Appx. 0.496" ~ 1/2" diameter. It's close to 7/64" thick, not quite 1/8", but more than 3/32" thick!

thx guys, seems to have worked with the oring i eyeballed out of my set. good thing it wasn't the crank seal-did that a month ago and dont wanna do it again. cheers
