  • XS11's thinning out

Just a few years ago, when I still had the TeXSive ('81 H tourer) I could go to CycleTrader and find numerous XS11's for sale. I just did a nationwide search and found 3 total!

In about a year my, soon to be, wife and I will be buying a house. I will then once again have a garage to keep my bike in. I currently ride a '98 Honda Valkyrie which I love, but as soon as I have the room and some free cash I hope to find another XS11 standard to pull home and completly restore. Sadly, if things keep going like they are, it will be slim pickins' finding one, much less one in decent shape.

If I do find one, I hope to restore her much like Mike Edwards did his '78 E below...

    Hope springs eternal.

XS11's thinning out.. yeah, so what! So's my hair!

Like Mason79 said... I think people are just hoarding them. (Though I only own 5) Other than seeing DennyZ at the Toy Run, I've never actually seen another on the road, but I know of three others sitting in shops right now. The owners obviously aren't members here, though they might be stalkers.
Hey, here's a thought! Maybe me being here is driving people away! (I figured I'd add that comment before some other smart a$$ made it for me!)

And if you look late July, you may see me riding down I5 from Dupont, WA. I'll be swinging by my sisters house.

Swingin' at your sister's house?" Count me in!

Just remind me when the time draws near, Ray.

.. i dont know who would want to hoard these things around here. i only have 3 whole XS11s myself [and 8 more in parts]. i do see one or two around town, and know of two sitting at a tow yard.
.. i sold the Ugly black bike to a freind before xmas, he comes by for repairs/ adjustments sometimes
