Glad you guys like it.
The paint was done by a company in Salt Lake called Myth Illogical Airbrush www.mythillogical.com They used a paint that came from Germany, but I can't remember the name.
The emblems were purchased off ebay about a month ago or so.
Does anyone know where I can find a gas cap that's mint? All I need is the chrome piece since I can swap out the guts from my existing cap.1979 XS1100 Special (Chrome Queen)Comment

Go to MikesXS, they have them for the 650 specials, and they are exactly the same as for the XS11, and considerably cheaper than Cycle-parts.com. Regrettably, they have a $35.00 minimum limit, but I'm sure you can find some other stuff on there that you like. One is the Handlebar clamp, bolts right on, looks very spiffy and CHROME!!!

I've been waiting for that handlebar clamp, along with the chrome control switches, and clutch lever bracket to come into stock for a couple months now. The chrome handle bar clamp will look awesome when my chrome triple tree comes back!1979 XS1100 Special (Chrome Queen)Comment
