starters for years of the XS

Is the starter universal for all years of the XS or were there different part numbers for the different years? I need a new one, there are several on ebay but all years except for an 80.

I remember doing this research before, but can't find my previous reply or thread about it, and couldn't remember for certain, so I checked it out again!

ALL STARTERS for 78XS thru 82XJ are interchangeble!!! The only difference occured in 81 with the 4RO series, the only change they made was a couple of spring/lock washers that secure the power end of the brush cables to the case!! See below:
